Are Christians who believe in intelligent design just ignorant of the facts behind evolution and astronomy?
Would any Christians ever take a class regarding these natural concepts? I would think they would want to learn everything they could about this so they could strengthen their own faith when they legitimently prove them as false.
Answer: Another good reference to dispel the false belief that science and religion are incompatible is "The Convergence of Science and Religion", by Charles Townes, Nobel Prize winner in Physics, Templeton Prize winner, etc.
Unfortunately, the idea that things like evolution and cosmology somehow diminish God seems to have taken hold in the minds of many fundamentalists to the extent that they reject knowledge that is both true and supportive of the "fundamental" ideas of their faith!
